Niels Budde-Lund

Niels has extensive experience in international executive search. He specializes in Organizational Change Management, Business Development, Digitalisation and Cyber Security, with a strong record of recruiting top-tier talent: Boards, C-level executives, directors, managers, and specialists—across Denmark, the Nordics, Europe, and globally. His sector expertise includes Finance, IT, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Logistics, helping companies build high-performance teams that drive growth and innovation.

Since 2008, Niels has played a leading role in executive search. In 2011, he became co-owner and Senior Partner at Taplow Group Denmark, helping drive company growth. As Managing Partner and later Chairman, he has consistently turned strategy into results. In 2021, he co-launched Taplow Executive Interim, now a key part of the Danish Taplow operation, offering fast, flexible recruitment solutions at all organizational levels.

Before entering executive search, Niels held leadership roles for over 20 years in IT and Life Sciences. He worked for DEC, Oracle, Computer Associates, and Capgemini (mostly serving Life Sciences and manufacturing clients), and founded a successful IT company from 2000–2004. His global experience has shaped his deep understanding of fast- paced, complex markets. He's known for combining strategic vision with hands-on execution, delivering Executive Search solutions to asset-intensive industries like Manufacturing, Logistics, Pharma and Healthcare. His client relationships are grounded in a strong, customer-focused and trusted-partner mindset.

Niels holds an MBA in Business Administration & Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He has also completed advanced leadership programs at DEC, Capgemini, Oracle and CA.
