The Taplow Group is a consortium of leading independent executive search and human capital consultants from the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific countries. Partners are bound together by their commitment to promote the highest level of professional excellence and services.
In May 2002, an assembly of thirteen executive search and human capital consultant firms from around the world, gathered at Taplow, Berkshire near London Heathrow Airport, England, to formalize a new alliance. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a worldwide consortium of partner firms, all of whom would meet or exceed the highest ethical standards in the industry. There were representatives from the United Kingdom, Europe, United States and the Far East.
It has been said that Taplow is one of the magical names in Anglo-Saxon archaeology. The Taplow Group takes its name from the village of Taplow and the Taplow House Hotel, where the founders met. Taplow House which dates from 1598 and in 1628, was given by James I to Hampson, the first governor of Virginia. In the grounds of Taplow House is a tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera), which is reputed to have been planted by Queen Elizabeth I some 250 years ago. |
